Multitudes of ballet schools exist which have brilliant teachers imparting ballet lessons to people of all ages. Apart from the normal ballet lessons, there are even summer intensive courses and some special courses for children aged 3 or 4 years. Such courses help to tune in their movements to music.

Ballet is an art and it is different from other dance forms. You may take ballet lessons or you probably have seen ballet on television or in the movies. Whatever your association with ballet, it is a graceful and beautiful kind of dancing .The letter “t” on the word “ballet” is silent, so we pronounce it as “ballay.”

Ballet is a specific dance form and technique. Works of dance choreographed using this technique are called ballets, and may include dance, music, acting and mime.

Dancing en pointe is not an easy thing to do in ballet. It is by far the most challenging and essential part of the dance that every student should learn as keeping the feet in shape for dance is not always easy. The reason? Our feet change shape with age and with other biological factors, or due to injuries incurred.
